Composites Manufacturing

An industry that markets itself like a materials datasheet.

Aerospace, wind, marine, ground transport and the materials and equipment behind them. We already speak the language — so the work starts on day one instead of month six.

Why composites

An industry that markets itself like a materials datasheet.

Composites is a genuinely remarkable industry that is, with real affection, terrible at marketing itself. The typical fabricator website is an equipment list, a gallery of parts nobody outside the company can identify, and a contact form. The typical differentiator is a claim that every competitor makes in the same words.

That is an opportunity. In a category where nearly everyone markets badly, doing it competently is a structural advantage — and the buyers are not hard to reach once you understand what they are actually deciding between.

What makes composites specific is the shape of the decision. Qualification cycles are long and expensive, switching costs are high, and the person who champions you internally has to defend that choice to people who were not in the room. Marketing’s job is to give that champion ammunition.

What we already understand

The buying committee

A design engineer who cares about properties and manufacturability, a buyer who cares about risk and cost, and a program lead who cares about schedule. They need different arguments.

Qualification reality

Nobody switches a qualified supplier casually. We market to the moments when switching is actually on the table — new programs, new materials, capacity problems, a competitor’s failure.

Process as differentiator

Infusion, prepreg, compression moulding, filament winding, automated fibre placement — the process you have invested in is often the real story, and it is usually buried.

Certification as proof

AS9100, NADCAP, ISO, customer-specific approvals. These are not bullet points; for the right buyer they are the entire argument, and they deserve to be front and centre.

The trade ecosystem

CAMX, JEC, CompositesWorld, ACMA. We know where your buyers already congregate and what it costs to show up there properly.

Technical credibility

Copy that does not embarrass an engineer. If your marketing gets the terminology wrong once, the technical reader stops trusting all of it.

Who we work with

We are most useful to…

  • Fabricators competing for programs rather than one-off parts
  • Materials and consumables suppliers who need to reach specifiers, not just purchasers
  • Equipment and automation companies selling into composites shops
  • Service providers — testing, tooling, repair, engineering support — who are invisible outside word of mouth
  • Companies entering composites from an adjacent industry who need credibility fast

If you are a job shop competing purely on price for commodity parts, marketing is not your constraint and we will tell you that on the first call.

Where we go deep

We speak composites.

Most agencies need eighteen months and a glossary before they’re useful to a composites shop. We don’t. We already know why a prepreg layup quote takes three weeks, why your buyer cares more about certification history than your logo, and why “we do carbon fiber” is not a differentiator in a room where everyone does carbon fiber.

That head start means your marketing gets to the point faster — and sounds like it was written by someone who has actually walked a shop floor.

In their words

“The team at Buzz Mountain gave me phenomenal results in helping my company gain more targeted business, not just vague exposure. I’ve worked with their team for many years developing marketing systems for our products and services.”

Let’s talk

Let’s find out if your marketing can actually move a number.

Book a 30-minute strategy call. We’ll look at what you’re spending, where your qualified leads actually come from today, and whether we’re the right shop to help. If we’re not, we’ll say so and point you somewhere better.

No pitch deck. No 12-month contract to find out if it works.
