Advanced Materials
You don’t get bought. You get specified.
Polymers, ceramics, coatings, alloys, fibers and resins are designed in by an engineer long before a purchase order exists. We market to that engineer — and give them what they need to win the argument internally.
Why advanced materials
You don’t get bought. You get specified.
Advanced materials are sold in a way almost no marketing playbook accounts for. Nobody adds a specialty polymer, a ceramic, a coating or an engineered alloy to a cart. It gets designed in — by an engineer, months or years before a purchase order exists — and once it’s in, it’s very hard to design out.
That changes what marketing has to do. The job isn’t to generate demand this quarter; it’s to be the material the engineer reaches for when a new program starts, and to give that engineer what they need to defend the choice to procurement, quality and the program lead.
Most materials companies market with a datasheet and a trade show booth and leave the rest to the sales team. That’s a lot of budget spent being present and very little spent being chosen.
What we already understand
The specification cycle
Getting designed in happens early and quietly. We market to the moments when a spec is actually open — new programs, requalifications, supply problems, a competitor’s failure — not to the calendar.
The technical buyer
Materials scientists and design engineers evaluate on properties, processing window, availability and support. Copy that gets any of it wrong loses them permanently. Ours doesn’t.
The rest of the committee
The engineer champions; procurement, quality and the program lead approve. Each needs a different argument, and the engineer needs ammunition for all of them.
Data as the offer
Property comparisons, processing guides, test data, sample programs and application notes are what a technical buyer will trade an email address for. We build them properly.
Qualification as proof
Certifications, customer approvals and application history are not bullet points — for the right buyer they’re the entire argument, and they belong front and center.
The trade ecosystem
JEC, CAMX, SAMPE, the materials press, the standards bodies. We know where your specifiers already congregate and what it costs to show up there with a system instead of a booth.
Who we work with
We are most useful to…
- Resin, fiber, core, adhesive and prepreg suppliers into composites
- Engineered polymer, ceramic, coating and specialty alloy producers
- Additive-manufacturing material suppliers who need to be qualified, not just listed
- Materials companies entering a new end market who need credibility with a new set of engineers
- Distributors of technical materials competing on expertise rather than price
If your material is a commodity bought on price and lead time, marketing is not your constraint and we’ll tell you so on the first call.
How we work
Ninety days to evidence.
You shouldn’t have to sign a year-long agreement to learn whether an agency can help you. Our engagements are built so you have real data — not a mood — by the end of the first quarter.
Get straight on the number
Before anything gets designed, we agree on what success is: the accounts you want, the value of a closed one, and how long your cycle really takes. If your CRM can’t tell us where last year’s best customer came from, fixing that is step one.
Build the offer
Not a brochure — an offer. Something specific enough that a design engineer with a real problem will trade an email address for it. A materials comparison, a tolerance guide, a teardown, a calculator, a conversation with someone who’s solved it before.
Put it in front of the right buyers
Paid media against a named account list, a podcast that gets you in the room, trade placements where your buyers already read, and email that follows up like a person instead of a sequence. All of it pointed at one tracked action.
Report, cut, compound
Every month you see what produced conversations and what didn’t, in the plainest terms we can write it. Losers get cut without ceremony. Winners get more budget. That loop is the entire job.
Let’s talk
Let’s find out if your marketing can actually move a number.
Book a 30-minute strategy call. We’ll look at what you’re spending, where your qualified leads actually come from today, and whether we’re the right shop to help. If we’re not, we’ll say so and point you somewhere better.
No pitch deck. No 12-month contract to find out if it works.
